No fussing with the oven in the heat of summer and easy clean up when in a rush. This recipe in super easy and quick to make. Perfect for late night munchies or midday sweet tooth cravings. The ingredients are super basic, and altogether this recipe takes only about 10 minutes from start to clean up. Dress it up with frostings, glazes, and toppings; or enjoy solo with a cold glass of milk.

Ingredients
1/4 heaped cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons cane sugar
1 Tbsp cacao powder
1/4 cup almond or soy milk
2 tablespoons canola oil
½ teaspoon natural vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
For chocolate variation, add 1 Tbsp cacao powder to the dry ingredients before adding the wet ingredients.
Procedures
In a large microwave safe mug combined all the flour, baking powder, cane sugar and salt together, stirring with a fork. Next add the almond milk, canola oil, and vanilla and mix well.
Microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds. Warning: the cake and mug are very hot coming out of the microwave. Let the cake cool completely before enjoying for about 5 to 10 minutes. Best enjoyed fresh with a glass of plant based milk.
